About LHBS Energy

My name is David. I provide a personal energy performance service which is designed to meet your needs. I offer bespoke services aimed at landlords, home owners and developers. I am not your regular energy assessor.

I use my wide skill set and services which are rooted within 20 years of main contracting experience and 5+ years of energy efficiency consultation based on Passive Haus and AECB principles to provide the correct solution for you.

No property is the same and all occupiers have different needs which is why I am not a one size fits all business. I provide a personal service and do not subcontract any of my work.

I do not work for companies which offer extremely low cost Energy Performance Certificates. My work is carefully considered and accurate. I will make every effort not to use the basic defaults used by many within the industry.

Air Tightness Testing

Air tightness testing measures how much air leaks from a building, helping to ensure energy efficiency and comfort. It is a legal requirement for new buildings under Part L of the Building Regulations, and supports good ventilation practices under Part F. The test identifies gaps and drafts, helping you meet compliance and reduce energy costs by up to 30% and 5 SAP points.

Supplier Feedback: David Lofthouse contacted me soon after my message and was very courteous and friendly at all times. He explained what CEPC was all about and what his site visit would involve. After I accepted his quotation which was fairly priced, he offered the option of a few dates. He turned up precisely at the agreed time and carried out the survey efficiently and later delivered the result. I would recommend him highly.
